Inspiring Travel Adventures Around the Globe

Turks & Caicos

Posted on April 12, 2026April 12, 2026 By Glitzy Globetrotter

With so many beautiful islands in the Caribbean, it’s hard to pick one favorite. In my case, the best is Turks & Caicos (“T&C”), hands-down. I’ve traveled to many Caribbean islands over the years, but I keep coming back to the Grace Bay area of T&C. It has the most magnificent beaches that I have ever seen, with its white sand and eye-catching turquoise water.

T&C is known for its low-key vibe, so it’s a quiet and peaceful getaway (unlike some other Caribbean islands).

My go-to resort is Seven Stars Resort and Spa, with its amazing location on Grace Bay in Providenciales.

Most rooms are suites, with a kitchen, living area and 2 bedrooms. The resort does offer 1 bedroom and studios as well. Try to reserve a room with an ocean view to get the Wow factor every time you walk into the room.

If you love water activities, there is no shortage of them in T&C. Many catamaran and snorkeling excursion tour operators will pick you up directly at the hotel beach.

The hotel location is also very central to a grocery store and numerous restaurants. There really isn’t a need to rent a car if staying in this area of Gracy Bay. Taxis are also readily available from the hotel.

The culinary scene in T&C is quite amazing. I keep a list of all the best restaurants that I’ve frequented on this island, so here are a few recommendations:

  • Grace’s Cottage – this place has white gingerbread trim and shades of peach and lime. The fish was sensational at this quaint outdoor restaurant.
  • Coco Bistro – any easy walk from the resort, this outdoor restaurant is set in a scene of swaying palm trees and is known as one of the best restaurants on the island.
  • Coyaba Restaurant – one of my favorites on the island as it offers unique flavors and menus.
  • The Deck Restaurant (at Seven Starts Resort) – I would each lunch here every day during my beach breaks. The food is delicious and great for a casual meal.

The spa at Seven Stars is also worth the price. You’ll find the service throughout the hotel to be top-notch and very accommodating. You feel very welcomed as soon as you enter the resort lobby. And bonus, the resort’s signature punch welcome drinks are always tasty.

I’ve also stayed at the Sands on Grace Bay many years ago before T&C became a mainstream destination. It’s a very nice hotel that offers suites. Its location on the beach caused it to be a bit windier than Seven Stars.

If you’re a beach bum and are looking for an authentic Caribbean vacation, take a trip to Turks & Caicos. You won’t be disappointed.
